Introducing Antonio Colombo’s Shortlist — it’s a collection of emotive, artistic, and racing images.
This year we received entries from photographers from over 30 countries, including the UK, Australia, Slovenia, Germany, Czech Republic, Costa Rica, Japan, Portugal, Colombia, Belgium. It’s truly an international competition. And many of those countries featured here.

Antonio Colombo is synonymous with cycling, being part of Columbus and Cinelli for over 50 years. And Antonio is no stranger to art and photography, as the owner of a prestigious contemporary art gallery that he founded in 1998, in Milano.
Antonio brings a passion for cycling and a passion for art — a perfect match for the Mark Gunter Photographer of the Year awards.

“This photo took me by surprise. It was taken at British national hill climb champs in Wales. This three KM section of road was swamped by noisy and excited fans. This could be the tour on a bit mountain stage but it is a little single track road in the Uk. I moved back to get a better over all shot and and the winner Andy Feathers pictured pictured hit the crest of the hill the sun came out. The West end of the track is mostly in shadow, but has small splashes of light at the beginning of the session.
